10/24/2011 The Business Unit MENENA used the newly established global partnership with Mercedes AMG Driving Academy to support the AMG Performance Tour 2010 as the official tire partner in Abu Dhabi.

AMG offered one full week of driving passion at the futuristic Formula 1 circuit in Yas Marina, where just three weeks later the decisive race and coronation of the youngest Formula 1 race winner ever took place, the German Sebastian Vettel,

Key customers from the Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Lebanon and Jordan were invited to experience the latest tuned AMG models. The absolute highlight of this event was the experience of taking a ride in the new SLS with professional AMG pro drivers Susie Stoddard and Bernd Maylaender behind the wheel.

Customers as well as professional drivers were impressed with the outstanding performance of Continental tires, as all racing cars were equipped with the latest UHP summer tire ContiSportContact 5 P, which was launched in the spring of 2010.

The combination of German-builtpremium cars and Continental premium tires will be one of the key marketing success factors in the Middle East region in the coming years. Further development activities will focus on the high-performance tire properties engineered in Germany.
